Amy Trillard works at NATO’s headquarters in Brussels, Belgium in the Public Diplomacy Division. Her work focuses on strategic communications policy and planning. Amy is responsible for incorporating strategic communications considerations within a broad range of NATO policies, and developing strategy and planning documents to provide communications direction and guidance across the NATO Alliance. Her role involves liaison with civilian and military staff, member and partner countries, and external partners, including the EU.
Before to taking up her current post, Amy worked as an Advisor at NATO’s mission in Iraq, concentrating on the delivery of NATO defence institution and capacity building programmes. This involved advising on NATO support to reduce corruption risk in the defence sector and the reform of professional military education institutions.
Prior to joining NATO in 2016, Amy worked for Brussels-based think tank Friends of Europe and held roles within the Canadian government.
She is a dual citizen of Canada and France, and speaks English, French and some Spanish.
