Aline Fares is a campaigner, author and activist based in Brussels. She is actively engaged in popularizing the issue of finance within civil society movements. She worked from 2012 to 2016 at Finance Watch and co-authored the report “Representation of the public interest in banking". She co-initiated a campaign to socialize the Belgian bailed-out bank Belfius (www.belfiusestanous.be ), co-created an artistic lab exploring arts, witchcraft, contestation and finance (www.unbewitchfinance.org ) and she is the author and performer of a stand-up show on finance (Chroniques d’une ex-banquière). She holds a diploma from HEC Paris and worked for almost ten years at Dexia.
