Alice Billon-Galland is a Research Associate at Chatham House. As part of the Europe programme, Alice covers European security and defence issues. Her current work focuses on transatlantic burden-sharing, EU defence initiatives, EU-NATO relations, and French foreign and defence policy. She regularly comments on defence issues for international media from Deutsche Welle to Newsweek and the Wall Street Journal.
Alice is part of the Leadership Team of Women in International Security UK (WIIS UK) and a member of the Younger Generation Leaders Network on Euro-Atlantic Security (YGLN). She is also a 2018 GLOBSEC Young Leader and is affiliated with the French Institute of Advanced Studies in National Defence (IHEDN) through its Young Professionals’ Association.
