Breaking Gender Stereotypes is a campaign initiated in 2017 to raise awareness about the presence of gender bias in the Myanmar news media. Through research and advocacy measures we aim to build the capacity of journalists in the area of gender-balanced reporting. It was initiated by Myanmar Women Journalists Society (MWJS) in collaboration with International Media Support and Fojo Media in Myanmar.

Through it’s #FillTheGap campaign, the initiative showcases the many qualified and capable women who can be sourced on different expertise in its online database.
